The Exchange Hotel used to be the Stock Exchange building, so down on the Lobby level is a winding arched stairway leading down, down, down — to the vaults? No, the the Fitness Room. The rooms are a little stark but very environmentally thought through. An additional attraction to me was a letter of welcome from the Hotel Manager describing the Leeds environmental focus, down to honey bees on the roof. Hydra, upscale Greek, the in-house restaurant, is delicious and beautifully appointed. PLUS, there is a Lindt store in the Lobby!! It would have been nice to sit in a hottub somewhere BUT the in-room shower is gorgeous. I highly recommend experiencing this hotel. For a hotel on Howe St in the middle of Vancouver, BC, smack dab in the high-end part of town, it is reasonably priced. And did I mention the Staff? They are FABULOUS!!!

My favourite hotel for work travel
I always stay at The Exchange when in Vancouver for work. Of all the hotels I book through my work travel, it is my favourite. I love everything about it.

Centrally Located and Comfortable
Stayed here for 2 nights prior to a small group tour of the Canadian Rockies. The hotel was centrally located and easy to find after catching the Skytrain from the airport. Check-in was quick and efficient with staff being friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable with plenty of space and cleaned properly each day. The bathroom was functional with good-quality amenities. We had an included breakfast, which offered a good choice of options. The rooms were quiet with no external noise noted. With only a 5-minute walk to Canada Place, this hotel proved to be good value given the inflated price of hotel accommodation in Vancouver.
